Jagged Edge Theatre Company

Hi and welcome to the Jagged Edge page!

Jagged Edge was established in 2003 to bring together like-minded Christians who share an interest in Theatre and the arts.  Still in its early stages, Jagged edge is currently training a group of people to be excellent in their dramatic skills and to bring a professional attitude to the performances we produce.  We are doing this through Monday evening meetings that have a distinct ‘Drama class’ feel to them.  Anyone that feels they want to have a go at this is welcome to come along and join in.

Why Drama?  Drama is a medium anyone can understand, from the scholar to the person who'se never read a book in their life!.  Because of this, Jagged edge are committed to using it as a resource to communicate the Gospel to our community in ways they have never heard it before.

We currently have some on-going projects to keep members busy and give us something to aim for this year and into the future.  Projects we are working on this year include a radio drama to be broadcast on local/Christian radio, and an evening of Performing arts and street theatre.

Currently based in the Church we have plans to take our skills outside and start to tell the gospel through drama, by the end of the year we plan to have a community drama project, a street theatre project and be some way to performing within schools with educational theatre.

The long term vision for Jagged edge includes our own arts centre, full time staff, radio station and publishing arm.  But ultimately our goal is to reach as many people as possible with the gospel message communicated in our own special way.
